![]() ![]() I am not saying that the book is bad or anything like that, I actually rather enjoyed this book, but I just don't understand why people hold it up to this standard as being a dark and edgy book ahead of its time and as being this groundbreaking book about a young intellectual going against the fallacies of the world around him.Misremembering the lyrics to match his view of the world. ![]() The real way, which he doesn't remember, is about meeting and interacting with people (which he has difficulty doing). The only thing that would be different would be you. You could go there a hundred thousand times, and that Eskimo would still be just finished catching those two fish, the birds would still be on their way south, the deers would still be drinking out of that water hole, with their pretty antlers and they're pretty, skinny legs, and that squaw with the naked bosom would still be weaving that same blanket.
